**This is a REPOST from last week, because I didn’t get it listed on the Thursday 13 blogroll. I’d like others to see it and help!!**Â

In America, Thanksgiving has come to symbolize a time when we gather with families to say thank you for the previous year and to bless one another for the year to come. Whether you’re an American or not, I’m sure in your country/religion you have something similar. So, today, I am going to share 13 FREE ways you can help others! It won’t cost you a cent, and may even save someone’s life! Remember, as bad as things can be in our own lives at times, there is always someone/some animal out there that has it worse than we do. Let me know if you are going to do any of these FREE things!!! I only ask that you pass these on to others, either through a post on your blog or via an email! Let’s pay it forward so to speak!

1. The Animal Rescue Site — When you click on the large PURPLE button, they display ads from their site sponsors. 100% of the money from these advertisers goes to their charity partners, who fund programs to provide food and care for rescued animals. It’s FREE folks! Help a rescued animal in need today!

2. Good Search — It’s a search engine powered by Yahoo. The first step: Choose a Charity or a Cause. Then search! Each time you search for something, 1 cent goes to the charity you are searching with! Here’s an example of the money charities can earn:

Charity or School Size Number of Supporters Average Searches Per Day Estimated Revenue/Year
Small 100 2 $730
Medium 1,000 2 $7,300
Large 10,000 2 $73,000

Now, may I suggest some charities to search with? RAINN (Sexual Assault Survivor Support) or Alex’s Lemonade Stand (Pediatric Cancer Research).

3. The Hunger Site — This is similar to the Animal Rescue Site. Click the button daily, and you are donating 1.1 cups of food!

4. The Salvation Army — Get rid of your old stuff AND donate it to the Salvation Army! Money made from selling your gently used items goes towards their many wonderful programs, like Social Services, Casework & Counseling, Youth Services, Rehabilitation Services, Senior Centers, Holiday Programs, Anti-Human & Sexual Trafficking, & Community Centers! It’s a win-win situation! Your closet is clear and you’ve helped someone in need!

5. Ronald McDonald House Charities — Collect Pop Tabs from your family, friends, neighbors, and/or workplace! It’s FREE! All you have to do is collect! RMHC then works with local recycling centers to turn the pop tabs into money to fund their programs! Contact your local RMHC Representative about getting started!

6. Help Stop Global Warming — Whether you believe in global warming or not, the truth is that our CO2 emissions are higher than ever. One click a day on this site and the sponsors donate money to eleviate this! Each click offsets 1 pound of carbon removal.
